This original painting is based on a Grecian pottery plate showing the Oracle at Delphi on her tripod over the cleft from which the fumes which inspired insight exude. She seems to be scrying into a flat bowl. This piece is acrylic paint on masonite and is approx. 9"x12". It was originally intended as a magazine cover, but has never been published.
